I was very sick with severe headaches, chest pain and difficulty breathing. The problem was high blood pressure combined with problems with my heart. The solution was Glens Falls Center.
First of all, I was impressed by how nice, polite and well-mannered the whole staff is. But I was even more impressed by how great the rehab is. They implemented a comprehensive rehab plan—exercise combined with diet that made me healthier and stronger.
The entire team at Glens Falls Center deserves all the credit for my successful rehab. They worked wonders with me, literally changing my life and my lifestyle.

I was really anxious and depressed—so much so, it affected me physically. I couldn’t sleep. I lost my appetite. I was so tired. I was experiencing aches and pains all over my body and couldn’t get around.
My doctor said I needed to go to a rehab facility, and getting admitted to Glens Falls Center proved to be just what the doctor ordered. They are all so nice there, and they addressed all my issues—physical and emotional. The activities and accommodations at Glens Falls Center are great, and both contributed to my successful rehab.
I spent less than a month at Glens Falls Center, but it was one of the most productive months in my life. I’m much stronger now, I sleep better and I can get around on my own. I recommend the facility to friends, family—anyone—in need of rehab!

I was very weak and in bad shape. There was a problem with my muscles, and to make matters worse I have an abnormal heart rhythm. I felt like I was getting weaker by the day—unable to walk more than a few steps without help. I’m so grateful to the team at Glens Falls Center. Everybody there was very supportive and gave me encouragement every day. The rehab staff and the therapy program they designed for me were excellent. And if I had any questions, they were always there to give me answers I spent less than two months at Glens Falls Center and I am much stronger. I’m back home, I can walk and even get up the stairs on my own! I would certainly recommend Glens Falls Center to any family or friends who need to rehab from injury, illness or surgery.

I had taken a series of bad falls and to make matters worse, I had suffered wounds on my right hand and knee. The wounds had begun to swell—my doctor said I had cellulitis. Instead of sending me to a hospital—a place I didn’t want to go—the doctor called the Centers Community Liaison, who had me admitted to Glens Falls Center directly from home.
The team there was very sympathetic to my situation—and very knowledgeable. First, they treated my wounds, cleaning the area, applying a cool compress, and covering it. What a wonderful bedside manner! While my wounds were healing I worked with the therapy team and they focused on strengthening my legs, standing balance and walking.
The wounds are healed, and I’m walking without fear of falling. I’m happy to be independent and back home again, even if I do miss the care and compassion of the Glens Falls Center team.

I had been in the hospital for surgery on my ankle, and it turned out to be much more of an ordeal than I had thought I would be. By the time I was discharged and transferred to Glens Falls Center to rehab, I was so weak I could hardly get out of bed.
The staff was very welcoming, and the therapists immediately designed a program to rebuild my strength from the ground up. It was a comprehensive plan, including therapy, medical care, diet and recreation. And it worked great!
A month after I was admitted, I was back on my feet and on my way home. Thanks to the team at Glens Falls Center, I have muscles now where I never had them before!

“I have lung cancer, and last summer I was in considerable pain and very weak. I could barely walk across the room. I had coughing fits and trouble swallowing. I wondered if I would ever get better.
But I have gotten much better, thanks to the team at Glens Falls Center. The physical therapists gave me exercises that gradually strengthened my muscles, and the speech therapist helped me with my swallowing—and even made it easier for me to talk.
They are good people at Glens Falls Center. I mean that they are good at their jobs and that they have good hearts. They helped alleviate my pain, and I have much more endurance—I can even walk up stairs. They met the challenge, and I’m back home now!”

I was having a hard time at home, bedridden for over a month by illness. When I tried to get back on my feet, my body just wouldn’t cooperate. After several falls, which caused some bad bruising, my doctor said I should get into a rehab facility. He recommended Glens Falls Center.
The Center was just what the doctor ordered! Everyone was lovely, but the therapists were particularly helpful. They created a plan specifically for me, and it wasn’t long before I felt my legs and arms—my entire body—getting stronger.
There is much more to the rehab than exercise. The food and activities are both part of the program. But it’s also the way you’re treated. Everyone at Glens Falls Center encouraged me. They really do care about me. And I care about them!
